Maine - The National Weather Services out of Gray and Caribou has issued Winter Storm Watches for most of the state except Penobscot Bay south, along the coast.

This major storm will bring rain, snow and serious icing to the state Saturday night through Sunday.

.Rain will transition to mostly to freezing rain, sleet, or snow
late Saturday into early Sunday for portions of New Hampshire and
Maine. The mixed precipitation may last through Sunday night,
becoming moderate to heavy at times.

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow
  accumulations of up to 3 inches and ice accumulations of around
  four tenths of an inch possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northern New Hampshire and south central,
  southwest, west central and western Maine.

...Major Winter Storm Possible Saturday Night into Sunday...

.Rain will transition to snow across the far north Saturday
night, possibly heavy at times into Sunday. Meanwhile, an area of
sleet and freezing rain will impact the Central Highlands, Upper
Penobscot Valley, and Southern Aroostook areas. Up to a half-inch
of ice will be possible across portions of Interior and Coastal
Downeast through Sunday evening.
