In a game shortened by the sportsmanship rule, the Warren Lumberjacks scored 43 points in the first half and played mostly second team players throughout the second half as the clock ran uninterrupted.  Both teams threatened to score in the second half but did not and the game ended 43-0.  Fans were treated to a great halftime performance by the Lumberjack Marching Band, which got a great reaction from the home side Cardinal fans, followed by a stirring performance by the UAPB Marching Golden Lion Band.  It was very entertaining.

The Lumberjacks received the opening kickoff and returned the kick to the Dollarway 46.  With 10:25 remaining in the quarter, Treylon Burks raced in for a touchdown from twenty yards out and Jesus Tinoco made the PAT to put Warren up 7-0.  After Tinoco kicked off out of the end zone, the Jack defense forced a punt which Burks returned to the Dollarway 21.  With 5:53 left in the first quarter, in a reversal of roles, Burks passed to J'malachi Kinnard for a touchdown.  The point after missed leaving Warren ahead 13-0.  Tinoco kicked off and Dollarway took over at their own 15-yard line.  The Lumberjack defense playing dominant forced another punt and the Jacks drove the ball but failed to convert on 4th down deep in Dollarway territory. 

The second quarter began with a short Dollarway punt and with 9:03 remaining in the second, Keemontrae McKnight ran in from one yard for a touchdown.  Tinoco made the PAT and Warren was up 20-0.  The Cardinals took over on their 16 following the kickoff.  They moved the ball some and threatened to score.  Warren's Braden Curry, who played well all night, intercepted a pass at the Lumberjack five.  With 5:19 remaining in the half, Burks went to quarterback and immediately hit McKnight on a 95-yard touchdown pass.  It was well thrown and well caught as McKnight flashed his speed down the sidelines.  Tinoco again was good on the point after and Warren extended the lead to 27-0.  The Jack defense force another punt from deep in Dollarway territory and put pressure on the punter.  The punt was blocked out of the end zone, it appeared by a Dollarway player shoved back into the punter, and the Lumberjacks got a safety pushing the score to 29-0.

On the ensuing free kick by Dollarway, Keemontrae McKnight returned the kick deep into Cardinal territory.  With 3:25 left in the third quarter, Kinnard hit Christian Calhoun with a touchdown pass. The extra point by Tinoco was good and Warren upped the score to 36-0.  Tinoco kicked off into the end zone.  The Lumberjack recovered a fumble on the next series and shortly thereafter Vincent Stepps ran in from two yards out for a touchdown.  Tinoco was good on the PAT and the score stood at 43-0.  On the next kickoff, Caleb Watson made a big hit on the Dollarway return man at the 15-yard line.  The halftime ended 43-0.

With the clock running continuously the Tinoco kicked off and made the tackle.  A penalty put the ball on the Dollarway 48 and with a lot of second teamers' playing defense, the Cardinals moved the ball some.  The defense toughened with a big hit by Chandler Crockett and then Dylan Higgins recovered a fumble to give the Warren offense the ball at the Warren ten.  The Jack second team offense went to work and mover the ball well under the quarterbacking of Blake Forrest.  The Lumberjacks turned the ball over on downs at the Dollarway 40-yard line. 

In the fourth quarter the two teams battled each other with mostly second team players.  Mastin Frazer made a big hit on the Cardinal quarterback attempting to pass.  The game ended 43-0 in favor of the Lumberjacks. 

Warren completes the non-conference schedule with a 2-0 record and one game that was cancelled due to weather, but in which the Jacks were ahead.  On September 21st, Warren will travel to Crossett to open the 2018 84A conference season.  The Lumberjacks need a large and rowdy crowd on hand to support  the players as they seek another conference title.
