After three games of hard fought non-conference competition to begin the 2017 football season, the Warren Lumberjacks enter the conference portion of their schedule by facing Crossett Friday evening, September 22nd with the kick off set for 7:00 P. M. at Jim Hurley, Jr. Stadium in Warren.
The Jacks will be seeking another conference title and a spot in the Class 4A state playoffs.

Warren sits at 2-1 on the year having lost the season opener to a very good class 5A LR Christian team and then beating a good 4A team in Stuttgart and another very good class 5A team in Watson Chapel. The Lumberjacks have been somewhat inconsistent offensively, flashing signs of how talented they are, and pretty solid on defense. They have gotten better and continue to do so.

There is talent on the team and some young talent in key positions. The Lumberjacks have experienced good crowds for the first three games and look forward to strong fan suppport as the conference season begins.

Fans are still talking about the great athletic move demonstrated by Keemontrae McKinight in the third quarter against Watson Chapel as he scored a touchdown for the Lumberjacks on a short pass from J'malachi Kinnard. It was a thing of beauty to watch. All of the Warren players stepped up including linemen on both sides of the ball and Warren's defensive backs and linebackers. The Jacks need to keep improving and stay focused.
